ONCE A MONTH, I HOST THIS LITTLE LINK-UP CALLED GRACE UPON GRACE. IT'S A PLACE FOR BLOGGERS TO COME TOGETHER TO SHARE THE EVIDENCES OF GOD'S GRACE IN OUR LIVES WHILE ALSO BUILDING COMMUNITY THROUGH THE SWEET FELLOWSHIP THAT COMES THROUGH ENCOURAGEMENT HERE. THIS MONTH, HAYLEY OF A BEAUTIFUL EXCHANGE IS MY COHOST!
GRACE IS EVIDENT:
+ It's been so fun hanging out with friends we've only been able to phone chat with for the past two years--and to have so many different hangout options, too. We've been hitting up happy hour appetizers at just about every restaurant in town and it's been the bomb.com. So thankful for both old and new friends that are willing to be an invested and intimate part of our lives.
+ Miles and I both read the Bradley Book and when we moved to Reno, we hoped that there would be classes available for us to get a more "hands on" experience with it. Lucky for us, there was ONE class and we were able to squeeze in! It's been really great learning about the different aspects of birth so far (stage one labor tonight should be fun) and to make it even better, three other couples in the class are friends from church, so we all get to hangout together!
+ Did I already mention Spring in my last Grace Upon Grace? Haha, even so, it's sprung and I. Love. It. The grass is green, the flowers have bloomed, and the trees have either budded or are doing so right now. Apart from last week's wily snow flurry (which this drought totally needed and still needs), the weather is awesome and I've even started my tan for the summer! Such a beautiful time of the year, and a wonderful reminder that there's new life at the end of every long, dead, winter.
+ There's something about being able to go to a salon and get your hair done. I'm the kind of person that likes to change my hair up a lot, and when I lived in Wyoming I was mostly just doing it all myself: bleach jobs, trims, haircuts, undercuts, dye jobs, you name it. Now that we're back in Reno, I can go back to my lovely Auntie who I trust with my hair. Slowly I plan on returning to my natural, blonde hair and growing it back out long. Slowly :)
+ We had a baby shower this last weekend and it was way fun. It was more of a BBQ/Hangout with friends/celebrate in spirit of the fact we're having a baby soon sort of thing, but so great nonetheless. I am grateful for a house that fits 30+ people easily, the means to provide food for all of them to have full bellies before leaving, and an insanely awesome husband that was down to grill for all of us the whole time.
