Greetings! I hope that everyone is off to a chipper start to the new year (holy moly, it's 2015!!) and that things are going well with you! If you've been visiting this blog for a while, you're familiar with Grace Upon Grace and hopefully you're excited that it's being resurrected. However, I know that there are quite a few new visitors and so I'd like to take a moment to explain my heart behind this link-up! (This post is still for you if you come here often though!)
Grace Upon Grace originally started as a weekly thing where a few of us bloggers would come together and share [at least four examples of] what God has been doing in our lives lately. As you read above in John (and the rest of the Bible, really), we have all received grace upon grace. And that can flesh out in so many ways! We have so much to be thankful for, even when life seems to be crumbling around us. This link up serves as a way to glorify God in all that He is doing in our lives by sharing it with the world and also, to come together as fellow believers in the gospel to share sweet, sweet fellowship.
Personally, I love reflecting week to week and thinking of all of the ways God has either poured out blessings in abundance or proven mighty through circumstances and situations where doubt seemed to be reigning. In the times when I have been overwhelmed by darkness one of the most valuable things that I can do is remind myself of all that I have received in Christ and give thanks.
If that hasn't been my favorite part of the link up, it's definitely the community and friendships that it has fostered. Each and every one of you mean a ton to me, and I regularly wish we could do coffee and chit chat, so when you link up and share your honest, messy lives and how God is doing amazing big and little things in them, it's such a pleasure for me to come over and hang out! Typically, I have tried to visit each person's blog that links-up and leave some love. While I don't expect everyone that leaves a link to comment on every single post, it is my hope that you would be inspired to visit a few other links and stop by to share some encouragement. Community can only bloom if it is nurtured, after all.
So now that you know the basics, here's where the new info comes in:
- This link up is going to be held once a month instead of weekly or bi-weekly. The link up will happen on the second monday of each month, starting next month!
- This link-up will now have co-hosts (yaya happy dance)! I hope that this will spread the word about this link up fiesta and get more people involved!
I am so pumped for this to begin again, and I cannot wait to hear about the new and exciting things that have been happening in YOUR life! If you haven't experienced a Grace Upon Grace link up yet, feel free to use the drop down in the navigation to check out past posts! Also, if you're interested in hosting, shoot me an email and we can make it happen!
